THE SHAKESPEARE IN PERFORMANCE MINOR AT AVE MARIA UNIVERSITY
The Shakespeare in Performance minor:
Teaches you how to speak Shakespeare’s language with skill, power, confidence, and purpose. This ability will help you express yourself more convincingly in the real world.
Offers in depth study of his plays so that you will grow as an actor and in your understanding of the human condition. You will become an intelligent reader of another person’s story, whether that story belongs to the character you play or to someone else in your life.
Welcomes student bands and musicians, music majors, and those who can sing and dance in numbers that range from musical theater to the hit songs of today. Plays might include modern, contemporary, or even hip hop dance routines, as well as covers of pop songs or Broadway classics with fresh lyrics or arrangements.
Provides access to the amazing and uniquely designed Donahue Family Black Box Theater for classes, rehearsals, and productions.
Is your opportunity for training in voice, dramaturgy, movement, and a common artistic vocabulary of acting as a gift of self.
Includes membership in a legendary performance troupe that plays to sold-out audiences every year.
